I had the first tightening of my brace a couple of weeks ago - slightly uncomfortable as the elastics were removed and the wire was adjusted, but not too bad. The extraction gap feels about half as big as it was when the tooth was removed.
I had to make an emergency visit today, though, as the bracket on my crown came loose on Friday (I felt it go "pop" as I was chewing something) and I needed it fixed. All weekend it was moving backwards and forwards on the wire, skidding across the surface of my tooth - think "fingernails down a blackboard" to get an idea of the annoyance. It even managed to flip round the wrong way at one point. The orthodontist fixed it today, though, and it is fine.
Roll on April and my next brace adjustment.
Also, roll on the day when the TPA comes off ...
Yikes, scratchy teeth metal, ahhhhh
